The Housing Interest Group will meet on Wednesday, November 16, at 6 pm when Kevin Acosta from the City of Dallas will present an overview of the Racial Equity Plan* adopted in August 2022.

Agenda:

• 6:00-6:10—opening and introductions
• 6:10-6:40—presentation by Kevin Acosta from the Office of Equity and Inclusion in Dallas.
• 6:55-7:00—Discuss opportunities to provide input to the new Housing Policy currently being drafted
• 6:40-6:55—Q & A

*Note that the new Racial Equity Plan is separate from the new Housing Policy being developed as a result of the Racial Equity Audit of the previous housing policy.

• While the framework for the new Housing Policy has been drafted as a result of many community meetings, included the two on Oct. 14 and 15, we committed as a group to attend as many future meetings as possible to advocate for a new Housing Policy that would address housing affordability and housing equity for all Dallas residents.
