This lunch meeting will be a combination of a General Meeting, with speakers who will discuss the upcoming bond election, and a new member Connections meeting. Our speaker is Jennifer Nicewander, the Director of the Office of Bond and Construction Management at the City of Dallas, who will provide an insider's view of the bond process. This will include a discussion of the city's current needs, existing master plans, recommended projects, construction timelines, election information, and more.
This event will be in-person and will have a virtual option for the General Meeting. To attend the event, you must register. Box lunches will be available and a $10 donation would be appreciated.
Registration will begin at 10:30, the program and Q&A will start at 11:00, and the lunch and Connections meeting will take place from 12:00 to 1:30.
Did you recently join the League of Women Voters of Dallas, or would like to meet other members and board members? Or have questions about the League? There will be tables with information on: Advocacy, Volunteer, Luncheon, Units and Voter Services. There will be a Leaguer at each table to answer questions.
The meeting will be located at the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library, 1515 Young Street, 6th Floor-Classroom E. If you would like to attend virtually, a Zoom link will be sent after you register.
