November Unit Meeting –
This will be a planning meeting to discuss topics of interest for
future unit and general meetings, (2025 - 2026).
It is important that members of the leadership of the League participate in this meeting.
League Board members are in a position to guide
the conservation and enlighten participants about local problems and issues.
Some potential topics for discussion include the following list developed in 2024:
? Effects of mass deportation
? 89 th Legislation review
? Money in politics
? Environmental
? Lack of low rent Housing
? History of suffrage
? Racism in Dallas
? Judicial system case assignments by a Judge
? Health Care Access
? History of the League presentation
? Education Critical Race Theory (CRT)
? Homelessness
? Affordable housing
? Mental health
Guests and prospective members are welcome.
"Unit Meetings" are a League tradition, small gatherings in which attendees hear about and discuss topics of interest. Attend one that is convenient to you.
