Prepare to be a Voter

🗳️ Early voting for the May Joint & Special Election starts this week, on Tuesday, April 22nd! Be sure to make a voting plan, get informed, and cast your vote!

Use the following checklist to make sure you are prepared to be a voter in the May 3 elections:

LWV Dallas Annual Meeting, Saturday May 17th

Dallas ISD District 5 Candidate Forum, Monday 4/21

Hear from the candidates running for the Dallas ISD District 5 school board seat on Monday night, April 21, from 6-8 p.m. at the West Dallas Multipurpose Center.

More information on the event can be found here, and questions can be offered in advance by taking this 3-question poll.

Hosted by Dallas Free Press, the National Council of Jewish Women Dallas, and the League of Women Voters Dallas.

New Location for Voter Registration at Naturalization Ceremonies

Each month volunteers from LWV Collin County, Richardson and Dallas register hundreds of new citizens at USCIS naturalization ceremonies. These ceremonies are now conducted in Irving. We need your help now, more than ever. We have lost many of our volunteers due to the location change and USCIS has scheduled multiple, smaller ceremonies each week.

If you’re a VDR for Dallas, Denton, Collin, or Tarrant counties, we need you! If you’re a VDR for multiple counties, that’s even better! If you’re a relatively new VDR, or if you just need a refresher event, let us know that—we can pair you with someone. Non-VDRs are always welcome, especially if you are a morning person, to help with setup and handing out voter registration forms.
