2. Monitor news sources for City of Dallas coverage.

3. Watch Council meetings and commission meetings to track discussions on issues. Meetings are typically the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month. Lastly, provide a very brief summary or highlight about the meeting. Or let Diane know if the Dallas Documenter report is sufficient. We hope your efforts will give the LWVD Board advance notice of when the League should advocate for an issue to the Trustees. The advocacy is done by the President - not the Observer.

3. Watch Commissioner Court meetings and community meetings to track discussions on issues. Meetings are typically the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month beginning at 9am, except for July when the Court meets only on the first Tuesday. Help keep LWV Dallas members informed about the City of Dallas Independent School District board meetings.

2. Monitor news sources for ISD-related coverage.

3. Watch ISD board meetings either in person or virtually to track discussions on issues. Meetings are typically on the 4th Thursday of the month in the board room at 6pm. There are some exceptions to the schedule. Please confirm the calendar at go.boarddocs.com.. Videostream is accessible at dallasisdtx.swagit.com.

VDRs needed to register voters at Dallas College - Brookhaven Campus in coordination with Dallas County Elections Department. Meet in Room H-125. Bonnie Moore (bonnie.moore@mac.com, 817-271-8844) will lead the event. She will provide applications and all supplies and will arrange for application delivery after the event.

Volunteers needed to educate voters at Dallas College - Cedar Valley Campus in coordination with Dallas County Elections Department.

Gwenda Lowe (glowe0124@gmail.com, 817-738-3487) will be leading this event.

She will provide applications and all supplies and will arrange for application delivery after the event.

VDRs need to register voters at Dallas College - Mountain View Campus in coordination with Dallas County Elections Department. Ernestine Chipman (elchipman@gmail.com, 972-670-2020) will be leading this event. She will provide applications and all supplies and will arrange for application delivery after the event. Meet in the Treetop Lounge.

VDRs needed to register voters at Richland College in coordination with Dallas County Elections Department. Dorit Suffness will be leading the volunteers on campus that day. She will have applications and all supplies and will arrange for application delivery after the event.

Meet in El Paso Hall.

VDRs need to register voters at Dallas College - North Lake campus in coordination with Dallas County Elections Department. Please help us Support the Distribution volunteers as they gather their bundles.

We need:

• 4 to 5 people to help pull bundles of Voter’s Guides and rack cards (formerly known as bookmarks) after the distribution volunteers select the drop-offs they want to do. Then you will them load their cars.
• 1 to 2 people to help the team at the check-out table verify the cover sheets and material being given to the delivery volunteers are accurate..

When and where we need your help:

• On Tuesday April 14 at the Oak Lawn Library.

Sign up:

• Registering for a time slot gives us a way to communicate with you.  
• The time slots will also help us ensure enough volunteer support when distribution volunteers come pick up their batches.
• We believe a team of 7 people will make this process go smoothly.

Calling all volunteers to deliver Voters Guides and rack cards (formerly known as bookmarks) across Dallas County.  We will distribute the materials to you on Tuesday April 14 and you will have until Monday, April 20 (the first day of Early Voting) to complete your deliveries.

Sign up:

• Registering for a time slot gives us a way to communicate with you.  
• The time slots will also help us ensure we have enough Distribution support on hand when you come pick up your bundles.
• The time slots begin at 9:30. We will text you to let you know that the materials have been delivered to the Library. You will have until 4 pm to come pick up your materials.
• The time slots are only for Thursday, February 5 since picking up materials is the critical first step.
• We believe a team of 2 or 3 people for each of the 9 sectors of the county will make this process go smoothly.

Pick up your bundle(s):

• Tuesday, April 14, at the Oak Lawn Library, 4100 Cedar Springs Road, Dallas, TX 75219. We are using the same pick up location and process we did for the last two elections.
• After 4pm on April 14 all material will be moved to the office at BIll J Priest. If you missed the TBD pick up, bundle pick-up will be by appointment at our office location, Room 109, Bill J. Priest Center - Dallas College, 1402 Corinth Street, Dallas, TX 75215 .  Please call/text Diane Tasian, 214 850-7054, to arrange a time to meet at our office. 

Check out process:

• When you come to pick up guides and bookmarks, you will be able to select your delivery area(s). The cover sheets for each drop-off location will be sorted into 9 sectors. Cover sheets will include the drop-off address and any contact info we have. 
• You will hand your selection to support volunteers who are pulling the bundles together. They will direct you to the waiting area where we will have coffee and sweets. They will gather your selections and when done will direct you to the check-out table. At the check-out table your cover sheet(s) and the bundles are verified.
• Then we will help you load everything into your vehicle. 

Deliveries:

• You choose when to make your deliveries. 
• We are hoping to complete deliveries by Friday, April 17, so voters have this information in time for Early Voting. Ballot by Mail voters will have already received their ballots, and may want to visit their neighborhood library to read the Voters Guide.
